Dr Peter Lathrop PhD Neurophysiologist La Jolla says “Most of us think of medicine, the practice of medicine, as needles, drugs, and surgery. Those three things, that’s all we need. We need to become addicted to drugs, we need to have marks on our skin from needles and scars from the surgery that is performed to take care of the problems we have. That’s pretty much what we’re looking at.”
This is called allopathic medicine. It’s standard medicine. It is what is practiced in America, unlike Europe or Canada, where they’re a bit more progressive.
Dr. Lathrop is currently working with patients that suffer from whiplash, neck/cervical strain and pain, shoulder injuries including rotator cuff tears and frozen shoulders, thoracic outlet syndrome, epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated discs, sciatica, low back pain, knee and ankle sprains, strains, and ligament tears, plantar fasciitis and more using what is called electro medicine.
Electro medicine is not new. Electro medicine is performed today by a hand held device called a SCENAR. SCENAR stands for Self-Controlled-Energo-Neuro-Adaptive-Regulator. The scientific principal behind todays SCENAR devices was invented in Russia nearly 20 years ago. Dr. Lathrop was asked to join the research team and has been a major contributor to bring the SCENAR to it’s current development stage.
In describing how the SCENAR works, Dr. Lathrop said “A new or fresh soft tissue injury is like a pebble thrown into the middle of a still lake. Think about what happens when that pebble hits the water in the lake.
“An injury is just like that. It often starts as just a very tiny circle. As the minutes and hours pass an injury grows like the circles in the lake from the initial plop of the tossed pebble.”
Injuries grow immediately through involvement of cell after cell after nerve, muscle, and tendon or ligament fiber. Bio chemicals gather about the injury to wall it off from the rest of the body, producing swelling and inflammation as a “warning” not to use the injured part. This process is not necessary today as we, unlike the caveman, have no need to keep fighting, surviving, or using the injured appendage. Still the injury grows, involving more and more tissue. It rapidly swells and becomes painful.
The SCENAR devices are intended to stimulate the body’s self-recovery program by using its own “internal pharmacy” of neuropeptides. This enables the body to choose the most appropriate chemical combination for each particular case. The SCENAR is said to stimulate cellular reactions to help restore respiratory capacity in tissues and organs, lower concentration of hydrogen ions in tissues, restore or improve utilization of free oxygen by the cell and restore metabolic processes in the body.
In recent years there has been a growing interest with medicine-free methods of treatment that would help our organism to fight diseases in the most natural way and considerably reduce or even exclude drug taking at all. Those interested in homeopathic or alternative methods of eliminating pain will probably do well by exploring the SCENAR.
